Hello, my name is Wally…that’s me hanging out near Lake Tahoe.
I used to have constant anxiety and panic attacks up until just a few years ago.
At one time or another I’ve been on just about every “benzo” you can think of. I was on Xanax for years, and when it stopped working I added Valium. During all of those years I also tried Klonopin and Ativan at one time or another…how fun!
I probably don’t have to tell you that living like that was AWFUL! I never felt good…ever. I was always shaky, nervous and I was always guzzling a bunch of beer in some kind of attempt to feel better.
Drinking is one thing that I can say did NOT WORK for me at all. I guess I would feel better right away, but the next day I would have to deal with anxiety and feeling like crap.
I would search around the internet like you and try to find all of the symptoms I was feeling so that I knew I was not losing my mind or dying. I spent a LOT of time on message boards and forums typing away about how horrible I was feeling.
And one day I found something and literally took a chance and figured that if it didn’t work I would just get my money back and take another Xanax. What I found was the The Linden Method. I didn’t really have the money to buy it, but I also didn’t have much of a choice.
After ignoring the information for a few weeks I became really *sick*. Basically I had a period of horrible anxiety and the medicine was not working at all anymore.
I had to at least try something different, so I got that information out and started reading. I read and listened to the MP3′s and it was pretty cool, let me tell you.
Not only did I find out that there were others out there that were just like me, but they were all better.
I didn’t feel alone any longer!
It took me a little while to fully cure my anxiety and I had some setbacks, but as of today I am 99.9% cured of severe anxiety. Of course I still get anxious because I am human, but it does not control my life any longer.
I don’t really get panic attacks at all much anymore, but if I do it only lasts for a few seconds and I make them go away.
You see, I have learned that I am in control of my anxiety, not the other way around. I know that my mind plays tricks on me sometimes, and when I see it happening I know exactly what to do to regain control of my thoughts.
Well, that is my story in a nutshell. I used to never leave the house because of anxiety and now I do all kinds of things. I run every day, for fun! I go out and do things and I don’t hide behind an 18-pack of beer anymore.
I am anxiety free, and it is because I gave The Linden Method a try.
